Understanding the learning styles of your students

Find me on:

People learn differently. This infographic from OnlineCollege.org walks through four different learning styles and how to identify them. The learning styles include: visual, auditory, kinesthetic, and read/write leaners. Because students learn in different ways, it is important that lessons are multisensory to meet the needs of all students. At ActivEd, we are proud that Walkabouts do just that. How?

  • Visual learners: Students see the problems on the screen as well as how Jax and Gia move.
  • Auditory learners: Students hear Jax and Gia as they walk them through lessons.
  • Kinesthetic learners: Students move while learning as they follow instructions.
  • Read/write leaners: Walksheets allow students to reinforce lessons in a traditional print format.

Make learning fun and improve outcomes

Walkabouts are online adventures that transform math, language arts, and reading fundamentals into standards-based, movement-rich lessons for Pre-K through second grade students. At ActivEd, we know that kids learn more, are more engaged, and are healthier when they are active both in and out of the classroom.
